The strengths we got from our client from feedback, was the use of taking it turns with presenters showing a fair amount of speaking for each presenters. This is a strength as listeners don't want to hear the same voice speaking for ages as you can get easily distracted, thou having a fair amount of talking each it will keep the audience focused with a non stop conversation throughout out radio show.
Another strength we got from our feedback from the client was about our mode of address used when talking to the audience, with a younger demographi age of 16-21 we made the mode peer to peer using colloquial language which is tended to be more informal and chatty. This was important to be used in making this radio script as we needed our audience to relate to us, this is important because as an audience of the same age you want to listen to something which can be relatable and more chilled out. This also fits the purpose of entertaining.
However, we did receive some weaknesses from our feedback from the client which we acted on to improve it. One weakness the client gave us was changing our giveaways to sound more realistic. On our first script draft we made one of the competitions of the script for the audience to win £100 of vouchers- this was too unrealistic due to being a new local based radio station we wouldn't have the money to be giving away that quickly after starting, this would usually happens a few weeks when you've received real audience feedback from going live. After receiving this feedback we quickly altered it to win Tramlines tickets this was more relatable as not just from being a cheap way of doing a competition it is also local to Sheffield therefore bringing in more Sheffield listeners who are interested in similar music which is played at Tramlines festival.
Another weakness we received from our client to improve on was having our presenters introduced from the beginning, although this was done with Evie the following presenters Hannah and Shauna have no introduction telling the audience who is talking, this would get them confused and alos make them not feel welcome. As an audience we want to become familiar and know who we are listening to, therefore we changed our beginning part of the script by introducing all presenters.
Overall, I believe this script did meet the requirements of the brief and fit the purpose of entertaining.
